Location: Meeting was held at President Morey’s house
Time: The meeting started @7:30 PM
Board Members: President Jim Morey, Vice President Jason Spillers, Treasurer Gus Pellegrino and Secretary Jim Turner
Committee Members: Kurt Abritton – Arctichetural Committee
1. The Landscaping Committee to obtain quotes to place sod on the south entrance and obtain quotes to include mulching cost for the north entrance and planting costs for shrubs on both the south and north entrance. Jim Morey stated his opposition to re-sodding as it not what was previously voted on by the Directors and Landscape Committee. Doing so would cause someone to be responsible for maintaining the grass as apposed to the zero maintenance associated with mulch. Jim Morey believes we should continue with mulch on the north side and plant the additional shrubbery.
2. The Social Committee will place an ad in the Macon Telegraph for the Community Spring Yard Sale to coincide with Mossy Creek Festival in April.
3. The Safety and Security committee was in phone contact with the Mayors office and Traffic Engineering Department for the city following up on the request for additional stop signs in Harrison Pointe. The city is working the request and asks that we be patient a little longer.
1. The proposal for the By-Laws being amended to add rights to Article III, Section 3:4: Rights of Membership and Article III, Section 3:5: Responsibility of Membership will be voted on at the 20 February 2008 Homeowners Association Meeting.
1. President Jim Morey reviewed the result of Homeowners Association Membership Survey. 35% of the membership responded to the survey. President Morey will deliver and share the results with all residents.
1. Review of the financial data shows that we are slightly ahead of spending vs. budget for the first six months having spent 59% of the budget. However, this includes the one time cost of the audit. Continued spending at the current rate will bring us at or slightly below budget for FY 2008.
